About

Olivia Baba is inspired by the universality and interdisciplinary nature of fashion. From sewing doll clothes at age seven to later researching the chemistry of natural dyes, Olivia recognizes fashion’s role at the intersection of math and science, art and commerciality, modernity and history, making it a vehicle to innovate and promote inclusivity & sustainability.
Olivia values design that is mission-driven, human-centered, and planet-compatible. With fashion’s wide-ranging impact, she believes in her responsibility to produce garments that are driven by purpose. Aesthetically, her designs are refined, elegant, and yet radically new. Her work is a synergy of unorthodox elements incorporated with more recognizable silhouettes and details to construct a final product that is both approachable but surprising.

Olivia has won awards for her sustainably-focused, inclusive, entrepreneurial work, including being named a Fashion Scholarship Fund finalist in addition to being a Skandalaris Venture Competition Finalist and a recipient of the Olin Ideabounce Award.
